Xiaomi Mi 5 price in Malaysia starts from RM1464, putting a Snapdragon 820 chipset within reach at a fairly accessible price point. That processor pairs with an Adreno 530 GPU, and depending on the edition you get either 3GB RAM with 32GB or 64GB storage, or 4GB RAM with 128GB on the Pro variant. The 5.15-inch IPS LCD screen runs at full HD resolution with a sharp 428 ppi density, decent for a compact-ish flagship of its time.

On the back sits a 16MP camera with OIS and phase detection autofocus, capable of shooting 4K video at 30fps. The 4MP front camera is modest by comparison, but that was typical for the era. A 3000mAh battery keeps things running, and the phone is slim at 7.3mm and light at 129g.
