This is a stripped-down feature phone built for calls, texts and not much else. The Nokia 109 price in Malaysia starts from RM116, putting it firmly in budget backup-phone territory. Its 1.8-inch TFT screen runs at 128 x 160 pixels, and with just 64MB of ROM and 16MB of RAM on board, don't expect any smartphone-style multitasking here. A microSD slot lets you add up to 32GB of storage for music and files, which helps since the internal space is minimal.
There's no Wifi, Bluetooth, USB or GPS, so this phone stays offline by design. What it does offer is an 800mAh battery that should comfortably outlast a smartphone on standby, plus a stereo FM radio with RDS and recording, an MP3/WAV/WMA/AAC player, and a loudspeaker with a 3.5mm jack. At 77g and 14.8mm thick, it's light and pocketable, available in Black or Cyan.
